I've been working on pants for Johnny. Got 4 cut and am now convinced i need a serger!! I've been over edging the pieces for hours and hours. I wonder...if just because my sewing machine claims it can do 1100 stitches / minute...does that mean i should really be doing that?? ...it is a heavy duty and i've been pushing it hard!
I stopped by the pawn shop to see if they had a serger - figuring if I got the 30 day warranty that would be enough time to figure out if it worked right or not...NOT that I know how to work one...but i can scour the web for lessons of some sort to be ready when I do get one! They didn't have one...they had a couple sewing machines - but no serger.....I saw one in there last time I went to buy a laptop (which I
keep having to do because everytime I get one I give it to a grandchild!) but none right now...guess I'll just have to keep checking.
I did altho....get a cute little Nikon camera for 20$. My small purse one has been broken ever since I went to Michigan and dropped it on the concrete trying to pose dolls with Dani....the lens cover always shows in the pictures....so this little one was cheap enough to try...and for like 80 cents he gave me a 15 day warranty...just in case it didn't work I'd bring it back.
It works fine...which surprised me because they had a big ole price sticker right across the lens...leaving adhesive behind when peeled off...and if adhesive gummed up in between the zoom sections it would be just as messed up as the one I already have!
It will work fine for a pocket camera due to the fact that hauling my dslr around everywhere isn't really practical...and i sort of don't like phone pix very well (not from my cheap LG phone anyways)
Here's a couple I took with it:
and now....2 more backs to overedge and then I can finally actually start sewing the pants!!
