Composition books are on sale at Walmart for 25 cents!

Guess I shoulda bought BUNCHES of them!  I did buy 7 so that could still leave one for Danny to make one for his nurses if he wants to.

I saw this video yesterday on YouTube:

(using a guillotine paper cutter around the kids is VERY nerve wracking – I locked the blade down every time they came within 3 feet of it – scared a little arm would reach out real fast)

So we got busy using a couple of those die cuts Curtis made yesterday.  (he has learned to do both the big kick and the sidekick himself so we have dies EVERYWHERE)

       Summer did Ethans book because he took off to play trains after he’d picked his background paper and a couple shapes….Curtis and Danny worked for awhile on theirs.

So now the boys have a ‘book’ they can take back to their dads – altho – Danny is quite concerned about the empty pages between his covers – we’ll have to see if we can get something in there.

The weekend is here and we got the boys

   

After I got home from work Dave and Summer went to get the boys.  They were very happy to be here.

Curt got to try all the sizzix – his eiffel tower! yaaaay

and grandma got her lil sizzix side kick back.  He was making them himself – both with the big kick and the side kick – he had alot of fun.. I got no idea what we’ll do tomorrow – guess it depends on the weather.

Ethan thought the fences made good railroad tracks

In fact I think Ethan really missed all the geotrax – altho they took several of the trains over to their dad’s and didn’t bring them back

 

Curt really liked the Jumpin Monkey’s game

Lateefah and Freddi took Danny to the fair for a little while this morning to see the pigs – he took the little Nikon and was taking his own pictures altho I think something was on the lens and he had a foggy spot in the middle of most of them.

Thursday August 19

A transformer blew up underground and we had no air conditioning at work all day.  I think we felt air move for the first time on our way out the door.  The public defender agency had to go home because they had no power at all.  Kinda makes me want to bring a fan for stash because there was absolutely NO air moving at all…and we’re only second floor – I’m told the higher you went the hotter it got – can’t imagine what the floors above 20th were living through!

After work we went to CHAMPPS to celebrate August birthdays. Here’s the dorky picture with me in it…duh

I think we were all kinda beat by then but dinner was good. Here’s mine altho I was the only one to get it – everyone else got salad or burgers I think

Jen got sick from something and couldn’t come to work Friday – I think Karen got sick too…dunno if it was the food or what – I think everyone else was OK.

Sizzix – Yikes!

I was trying to do a list of all my Sizzix dies.

I get on Ebay and think OMG is that one cute…

but then…

do I already have it…

Beats the heck outa me!

Who can tell in all this mess tossed in a tote and lid put on outa the way!!

It all started the other night with that scrap page Danny and I made:

We didn’t have enough Lollipop Caps cut to do our words so we were struggling

so we opened that tote! 

and found the Lollipop dies…

Danny helped me sort the pile of letters to see what we had NONE of:

Then…I went on Ebay…OH NO…I was thinking we need the numbers to go with this set

so in looking around I found us some different dies – as I always do - a wagon and a pig and a couple sizzlet trucks

but I sure couldn’t remember what all I had and didn’t have

so I need a master list next to my debit card

 

I like sizzix better than the electronic die cutters because the kids can help me

at the very least they can turn the handle on the big kick

if I had that electric one I’d be screaming at them not to touch it

and that’s no fun for them!

altho…we DID get that Eiffel Tower, Hello Kitty Butterfly and Arrow set in the mail today.

I’m probably is Sizzix hoarder!!   But when Curtis comes back over he’ll LOVE that Eiffel Tower!!

he’s fixated on that structure!

OK…back to inventory…all the sizzlits are spread out on my computer desk as I hunt for pictures to put in my word document list…

cuz I’m too lazy to cut them myself and label them for a list…
