SERIOUSLY:

I_hate_housework

Johnny has been on the computer playing RoadBlox all evening.  I need to get to work on some Photoshop Elements lessons but haven’t had the extra time.  There’s so much more I don’t know about that program it’s not even funny and I haven’t worked in PSP in long enough to sort of forget some of the stuff….I passed out when I got home from work today so now I’m up at midnight – yikes…Got health screen tomorrow – fasting until 9:40am…we’ll see how that goes!!

I left work early today to go to court for Mediation.  It’s all super confidential so…

here’s hoping truth wins

She’s a big part of our work life – now lets see how she does in our home life!!

So we got home – and I’m really tired and have a terrible headache – we commenced to cleaning house for a little while.  David brought over Church’s Chicken for dinner

Johnny is now laying on the floor down by my feet playing on his Kindle Fire yelling EAT! EAT! at PacMan!  hahaha

Truly wondering if I go backward on this blog will they fall out in order on the menu or will the most recent one land first….hmmmmm

Church Bake Sale this week – means I make a total mess out of the kitchen.  I decided to make Death By Chocolate in pans instead of solo cups.  As it turned out there was enough ingredients for the boys to make a panful for themselves to eat at  home.

(these pictures were taken AFTER the church’s was done, wrapped and safely in the refrigerator – so don’t think I sold you and of these child handled ingredients)

Here’s Janice promoting one of our not so home baked products:

We skip all the garnishes on top-only got heath bar bits for topping when I make it – When I can’t find enough Mousse packages OR don’t have enough money –I make instant chocolate pudding, then whip heavy whipping cream till it’s stiff then add pudding enough till it looks like the mousse

We started out Saturday searching the web for mats to use our shape blocks on.

DSC_1413

We printed remotely from grandma's netbook sitting on the bed.

We found quite a few patterns.

Here are a couple of the links we used:

Curtis took the pattern blocks out in the yard and worked on the mats that we had spent the morning downloading, printing and laminating.

Meanwhile, Ethan is off in his own little world.

He has a little wooden Titanic and he has built a sand ice berg and he continuously sinks his ship while quietly making the sounds of the music to Nearer My God to Thee.

And Johnny?
Well, he's pretty busy running over himself with some trains he found in the sand toys.

Ethan took it upon himself to pick his squash.
A little prematurely I think.
I forgot to tell Summer
to either cook it for him or send it to his dad's for them to cook!

Photography–and the tree that just came down on 1/22 because of it.

DSC_4713
I wanted to try Brokeh photography .

I guess I could have chosen a better ornament because I have no idea what that green on his belly is…
he’s a ceramic penguin with glittery on him.

I ended up liking just the auto setting with the flash off after taking the picture on a million different settings.  the base of my tripod is awkwardly wide and I had a hard time in my small living room getting my distances right.  But…this is my picture so that I could finally take my tree down!  And I’m not sure I know anything more about my Nikon D3000 after trying this…I really need to invest some more time into learning it!!

And so ends Christmas 2012 –
onto other things!!

JANUARY 21 Plastic Canvas

Haven’t made a plastic canvas project since before Curtis was born!
So I embark on a Valentine House Boutique Tissue Box Cover:  Trying a plastic canvas project for the first time in about 8 years!

I marked it off with Sharpie and then used napkins and alcohol to remove the ink…guess I missed a spot…my eaves have black ink on them:Got black sharpie ink in my eaves - will have to rip and restitch it I guess

Guess I’ll have to removed that part and stitch it again with some clean yarn.

Went to ebay to try to find something to share with this world that’s been sharing with me…

funny how LITTLE things caught my eye.
Here’s what I ordered:

They could be used in greeting cards and scrapbook pages too….so…little is good- the tissue house ‘feels’ big…but I’ve made bigger in a different life…guess a working girls crafting ambitions are different than a stay at home moms!!

and then…just cuz I always thought it was pretty and never had a clear copy I got this:
  $(KGrHqR,!j!FBuH5eh,3BQnCcDh8jw~~60_57

but….this one is on 10count canvas with sport weight yarn…can’t see me buying a whole new batch of yarn and have the leftovers laying around…we’ll see…it is pretty and the shipping on this particular one was free.

What I really really want is a garage for Johnny’s Chuck Trucks tho…haven’t seen one anywhere.

The Boys with Chuck Trucks

Was thinking of using this idea and revamping it to be a garage for Chuck and Friends – I think just leave the school bell tower and sign off and it would be a garage…least to a 2 (gonna be 3 in May) year old
P.P.FRONT COVER

I coulda swore I had photos of Summer with the Barbie Camper and accessories I stitched when she was little…but after looking I think maybe I have all the old Christmas's on VHS…guess I better get to work on converting those suckers to computer data before they get wrecked!

January 6 Church Bake Sale

Well, you KNOW I had to make Trifle Cups for the bake sale that I was in charge of…since I’ve done it for other groups sales…So I spent a fortune and then 3 1/2 hours and made Death By Chocolate in single serve Solo Cups.
Death By Chocolate for the Singles Church BakeSale-about 35$ plus 3 1/2 hours
I made 36 cups and every single one of them sold for 2$ each and people still asking if there were any more- I barely can carry that many-the guy at the Dollar Store gave me a big box that I cut down.  Each cup is covered with seran wrap and a rubber band holds the spoon in place.
Made 36 Solo Cups - Sold them for 2$ - and they ALL sold!
In between making those I was trying to get Lynda and Lisa’s bags decorated with what I’ve learned so far using Make the Cut with my Cricut (which is way less than I have lessons to learn – haven’t spent enough time on those lessons to prevent mistakes!)
Chirstmas Bags for Lynda and Lisa - glue was still wet - Filled with bath and body stuff and a few other fun things for them
But they liked them.  I filled them with bath and body products and markers and puzzles books and whatever else I thought they’d like at Dollar Tree.
